The 6th year students had their annual retreat this week, hosted by The Mustard Seed Retreat Group, using the church and pastoral care centre for the various elements of the programme.
6th years are reminded that open days for universities and third level institutes are taking place around this time and if interested should seek further information from career guidance counsellors.
The college U-16 hurlers had a reasonably comfortable win against Castlecomer C.S. in their second championship outing
on Monday last, the game played in Good Counsel. This means they remain very much in contention for the Fr. John Cosgrave memorial cup, a trophy named in memory of our former rector.
Kieran Butler and Kevin Burke lined out for Leinster Youths in their 3rd and final Inter Provincial clash against Connaughtin Donnybrook on Saturday last which the home side lost by 2 points. The two New Ross boys acquitted themselves very well over the series and must be in with chances of being considered for the National side.

Also on Saturday last a number of 1st years from the school were involved with the New Ross Rugby club under 12’s who played at the half time interval of the Munter v Leinster match in the Aviva stadium. Their opponents were a team from the Old Belvedere club in Dublin.
Well done to Ben Curran, 1st year, who was a member of the successful Leinster swim team who won the Inter provincials in Lisburn last weekend
