Well, the Christmas break is finally here with suitably winter weather conditions. We hope all asociated with Good Counsel in any way have a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

We were delighted to welcome back on a visit to their alma mater 7 past pupils, Stephen Duggan, Darren Conway Stephen Donohue, Ciaran Doherty, Richard Molloy, Mark Boyle and Simon Murphy, who are currently studying in Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania, USA. In the States on a scholarship scheme which Mercyhurst have in place with the 2 Augustinian schools in Ireland, it was very kind of them to visit and drop in to say hello while home for Christmas. A number of current 6th years, perhaps considering a similar study path, were eager to have a word with the lads and get a unique insight to life in an American University.
Finally, on Monday night next, there is a reunion of college teams and friends 89 to 99. Again any past pupils interested in attending are very welcome especially those who passed through the school in the 90’s. It promises to be a great night.
