Transition Years returned from work experience this week with a huge range of opportunities from RTE to Ballydoyle, having been exploited.  We are very grateful to all the employers who provide these much sought after opportunities which are such a valuable experience for the boys.

In sport congratulations are due to 3rd year student Vytautas Jakonis who became Leinster Youth boxing champion in the 90+ kg category. He may have a ruthless streak in him when in the ring but he is never without a big smile and a warm hello around the school.

Another ‘fighter’, Jack Breen Barron won double bronze at the International martial arts competition held at the City West hotel over the weekend. This was said to be the largest event of its kind ever and it is a huge achievement for Jack to have reached such a standard.

The U-16 Footballers have qualified for the Leinster ‘A’ final with a comprehensive victory over High School, Sutton. If they manage to land the final, Good Counsel will have both U-14 and U-16 Football and Hurling trophies in the school cabinet which would surely be unique.
