The The school u-19 badminton team won the Wexford championships for the 5th year in succession with a very hard earned victory against St Peters College on Wednesday last. The team pictured above consisted of James Carroll, Eanna Burke, Nicholas Murphy and Ian Carthy. After finishing 3 – 3 in the final, Counsel got the verdict 108 to 103 on aces scored. Well done to the team and many thanks to Mr Coffey for his work with them and indeed for all his efforts in organising the championships which our school hosted. Best wishes to them now in the Leinster finals.
6th Year Parent/Teacher meetings were held on Wednesday evening last. There was a near ful attendance from parents/guardians of the Leaving Cert. class at this important stage of their final year. A lot of work takes place in a very narrow time frame to set up for these meetings as they take place at the end of a regular school day and the co-operation of staff and students is much appreciated in this regard. a particular word of thanks to Mr Younger who plans the event meticulously. On Thursday evening next we have the Parent/Teacher meetings for 3rd years and as this is a large year group, it will be essential that exchanges are kept brief and to the point. The meetings, held in the main school building, commence at 4.15pm and conclude at 6.45pm. Light refreshments available throughout.
