Breakdown of Fees for 2026/2027
Can only be paid through Tyro once you receive access to the new Parent/Guardian App. App login/details wil be sent to your email in the week beginning June 22nd.
On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your continued support and the payment of school fees for the past academic year. Your contributions play a vital role in sustaining the high-quality education and enriching environment we strive to provide for every student.
Please note that fees are for items, materials resources and services that your son recieves and there is an expectation that these are paid for. If for some reason you are unable to pay some or all of these fees please email fees@goodcounselcollege.ie in absolute confidence and we can discuss this with you. TYRO does allow you to pay fees in installments.
On the other hand the Family Voluntary Contribution is completely voluntary. We ask for this as it helps to run the college on an annual basis.
Without your Voluntary Contribution the college would run at a deficit as DES Capitiation still has not caught up with the real costs of running the college. For example some headline costs for our school last year are €52,000 for insurance, Bus Hire €27,000, Cleaning and Caretaking €120,000, Heating €31,000, Light and Power €42,000, Refuse & Water €10,000, Repairs, Maintenance and Furniture €44,000, Games expenses €9,700. etc
We are acutely aware that the cost of living continues to rise in every home, and we deeply appreciate the commitment and sacrifices many families make to support their son’s education. Your support enables us to maintain essential services, invest further in learning resources, and ensure the smooth operation of our school.
As the financial demands of running the school continue to grow—due to rising utility costs, rising service costs, and the upkeep of facilities—your partnership and support is more important than ever.
We ask that these fees, and any outstanding fees from previous years if applicable, are paid on or before September 18th, 2026.
Thank you once again for your generosity, and ongoing support.
