Second-Year Hurlers Shine in Challenging Conditions

On Wednesday, our second-year hurlers took on Castlecomer Community School in their second challenge game of the year, building momentum for the championship after Christmas.

Despite the wet and windy conditions, the Good Counsel team delivered a fantastic performance. Outstanding scores from Fionn Mac Eochaidh, Jack St Ledger, Oisín Walsh, and James Vereker were made possible by superb deliveries from Sean Cooney and Daragh Ross.

With the wind at our backs in the first half, our dominance was undeniable, showcasing the skill and strength of our players. Over the course of the match, all 32 panel members saw 30 minutes of action, each making valuable contributions through scoring, hooking, blocking, passing, and sheer work rate.

A huge well done to all involved for demonstrating excellent character, teamwork, and determination. This was a great display of effort and preparation for the challenges ahead.
